The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse role is pivotal in providing clinical leadership, developing your team and service and you will be part of an exciting and developing team which will support and develop you to achieve your potential.
Our ideal candidate would have experience working in a nursing management role (band 6 and above), a breadth of cardiology knowledge and an enthusiasm for education and staff development to uphold our positive learning ethos and supportive clinical learning environment.
Tisbury ward/Coronary Care Unit has 23 beds, 10 of which are monitored and 5 are designated Level 2 beds. The unit looks after patients with a range of acute cardiology conditions. The Unit works closely with the co-located Cardiac Catheter Laboratory who undertake a range of invasive emergency and elective procedures including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, angiography and cardiac device insertion. Many of the patients spend time on the unit pre and post procedure. Over the last 5 years the Cardiology Department has grown in the services it delivers and continues to provide a range of excellent services to the local community. The Unit also works closely with the Cardiac Investigations Unit
Tisbury ward/Coronary Care Unit is a rapidly changing cardiology unit with excellent learning opportunities for nurses wanting to gain experience in acute cardiology. Our nursing team is committed to providing an outstanding experience for every patient and delivering high quality, inclusive care to the patients and families they accommodate.
Salisbury is situated in a beautiful countryside, 40 minutes from the coast and an hour and a half from London by train. The Hospital has on-site accommodation, parking, gym and swimming pool.
